sigma_clip_extended_region

jwst.extract_1d.ifu.sigma_clip_extended_region(data, var_poisson, var_rnoise, var_flat, mask_targ, wmap, sigma_clip)[source]

Sigma clip the extraction region.

Parameters:
datandarray

Input 3D data array to perform extraction from.

var_poissonndarray

Poisson noise variance array (2D) to be extracted following data extraction method.

var_rnoisendarray

Read noise variance array (2D) to be extracted following data extraction method.

var_flatndarray

Flat noise variance array (2D) to be extracted following data extraction method.

mask_targndarray

Mask of pixels (2D or 3D) defining the extended source region. A value of 1 indicates the pixel is in the extraction region.

wmapndarray

Weight map (3D) for IFU.

sigma_clipfloat

Outlier sigma clipping parameter.

Returns:
sigma_clip_regionndarray

Summed extracted region (1D) with sigma clipping for each wavelength plane.

d_var_poissonndarray

Sigma-clipped Poisson noise variance array (1D).

d_var_rnoisendarray

Sigma-clipped read noise variance array (1D).

d_var_flatndarray

Sigma-clipped flat noise variance array (1D).

n_bkgndarray

Sum of pixels used in sigma clipped extracted region.
