Compute a column-wise background for a SOSS observation.
- Parameters:
- scidatandarray
The image of the SOSS trace.
- scimaskndarray
Boolean mask of pixels to be excluded.
- bkg_maskndarray
Boolean mask of pixels to be excluded because they are in the trace, typically constructed with
make_background_mask().
- Returns:
- scidata_bkgndarray
Background-subtracted image.
- col_bkgndarray
Column-wise background values.
